UGC sponsored National Seminar A National Seminar sponsored by UGC was organized at Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapur on 26 & 27th, August 2017 – Our Principal Dr. A. Jaswanth had been invited to Chair the Scientific Sessions and as Resource person for the National Seminar. Four Research Articles were presented by our faculty & students in this event.

Anti-Ragging awareness program&Campaign -2017, 2016, 2012: As a part of orientation day program conducted on 6th Sptember-2017, an awareness program on ragging was organized by the NSS wing of the college. It included providing all the information to students regarding the offenses and consequences of indulging in any activities related to Ragging. The students are taken pledge (Anti-Ragging Oath) that they will not indulge in any kind of activities related to Ragging. Anti-Ragging Rally was organized to ban the evilness of Ragging which claims students’ lives every year. District Educational Officer-Medak chaired the rally & also made the students to take oath to combat the Ragging permanently.

AWARENESS ON DRUG ADDICTION -2017: An awareness program to keep students away from drugs was conducted on 4th August in association with Prohibition & Excise department. SHO of Prohibition & Excise department Gajwel, Smt. Prabhavathi attended as the chief guest along with the inspectors and other staff. The purpose of gathering was completely satisfied as it was filled with complete information on all the extreme effects of addicting to the drugs.

WOMEN’S DAY CELEBRATION-2017: On the occasion of women’s day, a program has been arranged in the college auditorium on March 8th. It included honoring the women staff and messages including women empowerment and equality. All the women staff celebrated the occasion with great spirits by cutting the cake and by arranging cultural programs.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE AT DUBAIOur Principal Dr. A. Jaswanth had been invited as an honorary delegate to the International Conference, National Treasure 2016 – Knowledge Expansion, Organised at Dubai Chambers, UAE and he has shared his expertise in the Guests Meeting in the International Conference.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM: JNTU has conducted staff development program for two days in the month of September titled “Applications of Advanced Analytical Techniques”. Four of the teaching staff members attended the program which included handling of Latest equipment in Analytical techniques.

INAGURATION PROGRAM: The college was taken up by Surabhi Educational Society, Madhapur, Hyderabad and the college was named in loving memory of Late Sri Surabhi Dayakar Rao, Founder President as “Surabhi Dayakar Rao College of Pharmacy”. A grand program has been arranged in the month of November. Honorable irrigation minister Sri T.Harish Rao garu graced the occasion as the chief guest and Dr. T. V. Narayana, Chairman, IPA Education Division, Dr. N. Yadaiah, Registrar, JNTUH and Sri K.Prabhakar Reddy garu, Member of Parliament were present as guests of honor.

SCIENCE EXPO-2016, 2013, 2012 & 2011 : Science Expo is a student run that connects high-achieving youth to innovators. Students exist to bridge the gap between the two parties and provide opportunities to excel which features youth-to-youth interactions to help them reach their potential. It is the place where ambitious youth can be at the forefront of innovation, and where young people have the chance to enrich their skills, be empowered to learn and grow, and be inspired to explore their passions and dreams. Students from various schools and junior colleges participated with their exhibits and many other students visited this three day Science Expo in November.

TRADITIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS-2017, 2016 & 2015: To remind our cultures to the present generations on the occasion of pongal festival, a Traditional day was arranged in the college. All the students were instructed to wear traditional dresses and conducted various programs of the festival like Rangoli, Camp fires, Dandiya.etc. Few stalls were arranged for the First year students who brought traditional dishes of Telangana. And all the students participated with Great Spirit and energy.

PROTHSAHA-2017,2016, 2015: An annual sport and cultural week was conducted in the college. Competitions in sports in various categories like cricket, volley ball, kabaddi, chess, caroms, running, shot put, shuttles, musical chairs, throw ball, skipping were conducted for boys and girls. Cultural events like singing, dancing, JAM sessions, skits, essay writing, elocution and drawing competitions were conducted and awarded prizes for winners.

WORKSHOP ON DRUG DISCOVERY, DELIEVRY AND PHARMACY PRACTICE-2015: Workshop on current trends in drug discovery and analytical methods are conducted by DrR.Rajasekaran, Principal KMCH College of Pharmacy Coimbatore .He enlightened the students on Spectroscopic interpretations.

Workshop on Meditation-2013:In a day of age when students are surrounded by so many temptations, Meditation is the art of looking within and discovering one’s own inner being. Meditation leads not only to totally new inner experiences but also enhances students strengths and mediate concentration. Assistant Pharmacist from Gajwel, Chief Guest encouraged and educated the students about the importance of meditation.

Workshop on Soft skills, Drug Research & Evaluation-2012: This workshop was organized with an objective to improve the communication skills & make the student confident to face interviews, make presentations, positive thinking. Later part of the Workshop was emphasized on Drug Research, Mr. Prasad, Senior Scientist (R & D) from Hetero Pharmaceuticals educated the students on current trends in Analytical research
